Today I’m announcing two new programs we’re offering in February.

  • The first is Prospecting for Dollars.  The program is $97 a month and as many of you know we typically open the program to 100 to 200 agent who sign up and we limit the class size to make sure we all have a great experience.
  • The second is Real Estate by Referral, which will also be $97 a month.

Our coaching programs are purposely and intentionally designed so coaching no longer has to be a luxury that so few can afford.  For those of you who have been paying thousands of dollars a month and getting a call a week that’s about only one specific thing, you have to begin thinking about whether or not that’s the smart thing to do.

Remember, top producers know, in order to have consistent income and be successful in this business you must have four to five sources of leads.  You should also have that many lead generators.  Here’s an analogy used at the university, which is one of the things we’ll discuss at the Real Estate Survival Tour Event.  One of the universities staples is called ‘Building Your Wheel’ and here’s the idea.

If you’re rolling down the street and have a wheel with one spoke and let’s say that one spoke is over-the-phone prospecting.  This is true to the fact that so many realtors only learn to do one thing, which they do well, but then they do nothing else.

Over-the-phone prospecting, FSBO’s, expired’s, centers of influence and past clients as many of you know it’s something we are proponents of you doing.  Don’t think that we don’t want you to prospect.  It’s something that’s basically free, relatively easy once you learn what to say and it only takes a short time to get great results, but it shouldn’t be the only thing you do.

If it is you’re nuts and here’s why.  Let’s pretend you’re rolling down the road with that one spoke.  What happens if you hit a small pebble in the road?  Because that one wheel isn’t very strong with only one spoke it will collapse and that’s the reason at the university we teach you to have multiple spokes.

What would cause a one-spoke wheel to collapse, if it’s your only source of business, was over-the-phone prospecting?  You decide then to take a week off.  No phone calls happen, guess what?  No leads were generated and that will probably hurt you in the next 60-90 days, because that’s what happens when you have a one-spoke wheel.

Think about the consequences if you are out of pocket for three months, if you have a one-spoke wheel prospecting and you get sick it’s essentially like the one-spoke wheel rolling down the road hitting a pebble, it’s going to collapse and so will your business and income.  Don’t let that happen to you.  This is only common sense.  You have to have several lead generators.

Register now for this fabulous event at www.realestatesurvivaltour.com to be held on February 8, 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia.
