Hi Tim

Since I have started learning about handling short sales, I have been meeting with several people in need of assistance.

I always begin by talking to them about their options if they are currently behind on their payments.  The best thing, I tell them, if at all possible to try to work out a plan of keeping their home with the bank. I talk to them about their current situation and then discuss their options.  If their situation has changed, they are encouraged to contact their bank and work out a modification. If they don’t feel they will be able to keep up with the payments, I discuss the short sale option.  I  currently have 2 short sale properties under contract and will be meeting tomorrow to list my third.  I have two other potential properties in line to be listed.  The owners are working on their financial paperwork to determine if they should keep the property or sell.

It has been much easier working with potential sellers since becoming a Agent Short Sale Secrets Student with Harris Real Estate University.   I am currently also doing BPO’s for several companies and have increased my monthly income from BPO assignments from $300 per month  in February to currently between $1500 and $1900 per month.  Thank you HREU for your training and assistance.. I’m hoping 2009 gets me back on my feet with short sale listings more BPO assignments and begin my REO property listings.
