An expansive apartment in Trump Tower – the New York home of President Donald Trump –  is on the market for $11.5 million, making it the most expensive apartment currently for sale in the building.

Mexican real estate developers Elias and Marcos Sacal bought two one-bedroom units in 2015 at the Manhattan building, according to property records.

The two apartments were combined into a single two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home on the 58th floor. The Sacals are now selling it for $4 million more than they paid two years ago.

According to a listing with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the property features a fully integrated audio system, top-of-the-line kitchen and sweeping views over Central Park and midtown.
Custom furniture also is being included in the sale.

The apartment features two bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom and walk-in closets.  It features an open kitchen and living room with sleek black furnishings and dark wood veneer on many of the walls.

The number of annual apartment sales at Trump Tower jumped to 22 in 2016, according to StreetEasy. That’s up from 15 in 2015 and 11 in 2014, even as luxury sales fell across the city.

Brokers active at the building insist Trump’s politics have no relation to the uptick at the building.

“If you got some large, renovated apartments with views, units will trade if they are priced right,” said Donna Olshan of Olshan Realty, who publishes a weekly report on Manhattan’s luxury apartment market. “This goes for any building.”

Town Residential’s Debra Stotts, who has sold several Trump Tower apartments, said listings at the building continue to do well.

“There’s going to be those who want to be there,” Stotts said, “and those who don’t want to be there.”
