Golden State Warriors NBA Finals 2017 MVP Kevin Durant just acquired an oceanfront home in Malibu’s most prestigious Broad Beach area. Durant purchased the property under the auspices of a limited liability company, 35 Malibu holdings.

Just this season, Durant averaged 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and a career high 1.8 blocks in 68 games. The Malibu oceanfront, multi-level contemporary home is a well-earned reward for such excellence.

Originally built in 1976, the home was completely remodeled five years ago. Within its 5.136 square feet of living space, an elevator services all floors. Vaulted ceilings easily accommodate Durant’s 6’10”stature. The living and dining rooms are designed with an open floor plan concept. The chef’s kitchen is finished in Calcutta marble.

Sliding walls of glass and terrace balconies live on all three levels of the home. Four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a media room with a glass wine wall, movie theater, wet bar, library and private guest suite round out the accommodations.

An outdoor spa and dining patio are just off the sand.

Since moving to the Bay Area from Oklahoma City to play with the Warriors, Durant recently co-founded an investment firm with Rich Kleiman called The Durant Company. The firm has made some 30 investments in tech start-ups…things they could “utilize in their own lives.”

Durant has said that the best part of living in San Francisco is being entrenched in the tech world. He quipped at TechCrunch Disrupt 2017, “We’d never have been introduced to a drone startup in Oklahoma City,”
