Jennifer Lopez (Jo-Lo) and Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) are no strangers to celebrity, luxury and iconic real estate. So, where better to settle into their new lives together than in one of Manhattan’s most celebrated, luxurious, iconic real estate addresses than 432 Park Avenue.
432 Park Avenue is a new 96-story tower designed by renowned Uruguayan architect, Raphael Vinoly. Jo-Lo and A-Rod will occupy a half floor unit on the 36th floor for which they paid a reported $15,216,715. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if this dream couple were to buy the unoccupied but not currently listed half floor unit adjacent to theirs to stretch out and bathe themselves, their four underage kids and their “staff” of nannies, assistants, etc. in total comfort.
A private elevator to the unit’s landing opens to a +21’ entrance gallery that then leads to a 30-foot square combined living and dining room. Four 10’ square single pane windows open up the 12.5’ ceilinged “cube” to natural light and amazing open views of the entirety of Central Park and the north and east sides of the city.
An adjacent den and library open from the gallery via a wide, glass pocket door. A separate kitchen features a center island, marble floors and countertops and natural oak cabinetry. A “floated” breakfast bar faces a window above E. 57th St.
Three bedrooms (two en suite and one master suite with a nearly 20’ long wardrobe-lined dressing hall) are clustered together at the southern end of the unit. Again, natural light and more amazing views are welcomed by east facing windows.
Amenities with 432 Park Ave. include valet parking, an attended lobby with door people and concierge services, a games parlor and screening room, a health club with a building-wide swimming pool and a residents’ restaurant that serves three meals a day.
A-Rod continues to own a 1.47- acre landlocked property in Coral Gables upon which he built an 11,000 square foot mid-century, modern inspired home in 2013. The home is a perfect showcase for his contemporary art collection and pedigreed furnishings. He also enjoys a contemporary villa above the Sunset Strip that he purchased from Meryl Streep in 2014.
Jo-Lo also continues to own properties she acquired pre A-Rod. In 2013, she bought her “Hampton hamlet” in Water Mill, NY, a 7,550 square foot gambled mansion and in 2016, Jo-Lo purchased a Bel Air mansion from Selma Ward for a reported $28M. The duplex penthouse she acquired in 2014 in NYC’s Flatiron District has been on the market since late last year.
