AirDNA specializes in crunching numbers on short-term rentals. It recently put out its list of 100 hottest zip codes for this type of rental based on twelve months of data from Airbnb and HomeAway properties.
Each zip code was given a “market grade” from 1 – 100 based upon the following criteria:
-Rental demand – how often the properties were booked
– Revenue growth from year to year
-Seasonality – the variability of bookings throughout the year
– The ratio of local home prices to income amount potential
– Potential legal issues related short-term rentals such as required length of stays, etc.
As everything real estate, short-term rentals are about location, location, location.
