Three Counties Fetched Highest Median Home Sale Prices in 2021

ATTOM teamed up with ZRankings.com and its Pure Awesomeness Factor that ranks the top ski resorts in the US for this analysis of the top winter resort markets for investors for 2022.

Pitkin County in Colorado, home to Aspen Snowmass, generated the highest median home sales price in 2021 at $1,696,000, +39% from 2020.  Teton County WY, home to Jackson Hole, came in with the second highest sales price in 2021 at $1.286,000, +34% y/y.  San Miguel County CO, home to Telluride Ski Resort, had the third highest median sales price in 2021 at $1,135,000, +26% from 2020.

All three of these counties ranked the highest in terms of five-year home price growth.  All three of these counties more than doubled their respective median home prices from 2016 to 2021.

Over this five-year median sale price growth term, Telluride’s San Miguel County nabbed first place with a median home price growth of +143% since 2016.  Jackson Hole’s Teton County came in with the second greatest price growth, +138% from 2016.  Aspen’s Pitkin County saw its median sales price growth come in at +125%.
