A new study on the best and worst cities for workers around the world assessed factors such as livability, work intensity and social and health care services.

Best and Worst Cities for Working People

A new study was just released by the mobile access technology company, Kisi.  Kisi looked factors such as work intensity, city livability, quality of health care, affordable cost-of-living and amount of time off.

Note that a city such as Helsinki offers workers a full month of paid vacation every year; Los Angeles offers workers just one week.

Remote Work Taking Hold Globally

As more and more workers have been considering their priorities since the onslaught of the pandemic, many employees are savoring the flexibility of remote working.  If companies are not offering full-on work-from-home or hybrid working policies, many employees are prepared to job hop to companies that do.

Cities leaders wanting to capitalize on workers’ “new” mobility by expanding their tax bases will need to creatively compete for those workers’ currencies.
