The yearly Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas may have had fewer offerings this year due to the ongoing-ness and variants of the coronavirus but high-tech home toys were no less innovative than in previous years.

Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni
The Deebot is an almost too-good-to-be true floor-cleaning robot. This robot vacuums and mops AND takes care of/cleans itself. It makes detailed maps of your home’s floor plan, focuses on the “tricky” spots such as those under the couch or between the refrigerator and cabinets when you tell it to via voice command in its app control, does scheduling, does on-demand cleaning and then takes itself back to its charging station to unload dust and debris. After mopping, the Deebot returns to its dock, has its mop heads washed and has its dirty water replaced with clean water via its built-in water reservoirs.
