When the two products are used together, requests are handled and confirmed quickly to the benefit of listing agents, showing agents, buyers and sellers.”
ShowingTime’s showing-related products and services are used to schedule more than 50 million showings per year in 180 MLSs across the U.S. and Canada representing 900,000 real estate professionals.
ShowingTime is the leading showing management and market stats technology provider to the residential real estate industry, with more than 1.2 million active listings subscribed to its services. Its MarketStats division provides interactive tools and easy-to-read market reports for MLSs, associations, brokers and other real estate companies.
The company also tasks showing trends with its ShowingTime Showing Index.
Home showings on the national level increased 7.3 percent year over year in September, according to the September Index.
“Hurricane Irma had a significant impact on showing activity in coastal areas from Florida to South Carolina, with some markets seeing a 10- to 30-percent decrease compared to last September,” ShowingTime Chief Analytics Officer Daniil Cherkasskiy said.
“Other areas in the South not affected by Irma actually saw a substantial year-over-year increase, which explains why the region as a whole experienced only a slight increase.
Cherkasskiy said t will be interesting to monitor the South’s showing activity in the coming months to see if demand quickly bounces back, or remains somewhat subdued until the first quarter of 2018.
