One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One wolf is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other wolf is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

This is such a lovely story. It is so simple and yet so true. I think each and every one of us has these two wolves running around inside us. The Evil Wolf or the Good Wolf is fed daily by the choices we make with our thoughts. What you think about and dwell upon will be mirrored in your life and will influence your behavior.

We have a choice. We can feed the Good Wolf and it will positively affect our character, habits, and behavior. Or we can feed the Evil Wolf and our whole world will turn negative. It will be like poison and it will slowly eat away at our soul.

The crucial question is: Which wolf are you feeding today?

1 When you wake up?

2 When you begin your day?

3 What you allow yourself to read, listen to and be influenced by.

4 How you choose to negotiate with clients and other agents.

5 Your outlook on lead generation.

6 What you say to yourself throughout every day.

7 The people you associate with.

8 How you present yourself to your prospects, clients, friends and family.

9 What your goals and dreams consist of…or don’t…

10 What you’ll do now that you know the Cherokee story.
