For the 10th time since the onslaught of the COVID pandemic, Manchester NH was named as the country’s hottest housing market.
Manchester NH Named as Hottest Housing Market in Nation
Manchester NH has again been named the nation’s hottest housing market. I say “again” because this is the tenth time Manchester has come out on top of realtor.com®’s hottest housing markets list.
Why Manchester? This midsized town is recognized as an affordable alternative that offers homebuyers more bang for the buck, more house and more land than Boston. According to realtor.com, Manchester’s median home price in September was $416,250 compared to Boston’s median price of $675,000.
According to Danielle Hale, realtor.com®’s chief economist, “Manchester-Nashua has really benefited from remote-work flexibility, placing it at or near the top of our hottest markets list repeatedly.”

Also pay attention to Burlington VT. Though not nearly as affordable as the housing markets on the above list from realtor.com®, Burlington VT has been seeing soaring demand. With that demand, home prices have increased +17.1% y/y with over half of for-sale homes selling above list prices, according to Redfin.
