European Cities Dominate Top Ten for Travel Openness
European tourism and finance capitals come out on top as the cities most open to travelers based on vaccination rates, local public health rules and COVID travel restrictions, according to Bloomberg.
Bloomberg analyzed 70 global cities. You’ll notice the uneven pace at which the world is reopening due primarily to unequal access to vaccines and different degrees of efficiency in getting shots into people’s arms. Despite public health measures such as testing and/or required proof of vaccination, parts of the world are still impossible or difficult to access.

Only 27 places in the US have administered enough shots to cover at least 60% of their populations. Worldwide, 55 places have administered enough shots to cover at least 60% of their respective populations.
Experts in the US predict that it would take another 2 months to cover 75% of our population, based on our current rate of daily vaccinations.
