How to Make Your Neighborhood Guide for FREE

Ask your lender to sponsor the guide. Give them a half-page ‘ad’ in the Directory. They can promote special programs or incentives.

Sell ads to local service providers. Use business card size, quarter-page, half-page, and full-page ads at different price levels. For a premium, use inside front and back covers. This way, you can cover all your costs!

Ask your past clients and sphere of influence contacts who own businesses if they’d like to sponsor the guide.

Allow the kids in the neighborhood to post their small businesses for free, such as babysitting, lawn mowing, tutoring, etc.

Make it Professional and Worth of Keeping.

– Print it in Color

– Use strong binding: Spiral bound with a transparent cover

– Put a picture of the neighborhood sign or clubhouse on the cover and your picture on the back.

– Keep the information clear, concise, and consistent throughout the Directory.

– Make the size easy to store. Notebook sized is ideal, Magazine type format.
