The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) announced a rollout date of September 18, 2018 for its second domain to connect its members and members of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) with industry consumers.
“.realestate” joins “.realtor” are NAR’s two domain connections to link together buyers, sellers, investors and owners with American and Canadian association member REALTORS®. According to NAR president Elizabeth Mendenthal, each top-level domain will “help real estate professionals and businesses better connect with… (consumers)…that remain essential to every real estate transaction. Making use of this pioneering technology will help them to market themselves and their listings, services or resources in new and creative ways.”
Existing members of NAR and CREA who already have an active account with the “.realtor” domain are eligible to buy their “.realestate” domain name on September 18, 2018. To activate that eligibility, go to

NAR said that it would email specific pricing information to each member agent/broker prior to the 9/18/18 rollout date.
NAR also indicated that the “.realestate” domain will not have any naming, usage, or eligibility restrictions concerning REALTOR® trademark standards. Members of the public and all real estate consumers…buyers, sellers, owners, investors…will have access to “.realestate” on November 27, 2018.
